We provide custom-measured manual and power wheelchairs with specialty controls or equipment so you can live your possibility.

UDS works primarily with clients at care facilities who are eligible for the PA Medicaid Waiver, Community HealthChoices, or who pay privately. Along with care facility rehab staff, we start by evaluating your current ability. Then, we create customized rehab equipment specific to your needs to provide greater independence.

We customize the wheelchairs to the individual, with measurement and specialized equipment to reduce wounds and skin issues, pain, and falls, as well as improve the resident’s access to their living space. We specialize in using manufacturer’s equipment including back, arm, leg, and head support and cushions for skin protection. We find the best way to drive or move the wheelchair using the individual’s head (head array), sip and puff, micro joysticks, and switches; we also do standing wheelchairs, or wheelchairs that lift a resident to reach their closet, attend a church or private event, etc., or participate in transfers from different surfaces.
