Activities may include music, chorus, arts and crafts, photography, dance, games, book and movie clubs, history, science, health and wellness, computer skills, and current events, as well as independent living skills such as grocery shopping, laundry, and money management. There are also community outings, volunteer opportunities, and recreational activities throughout the year.
What kind of community activities can I participate in?
Community involvement is an important part of the Active Life Day Program. Participants have opportunities to volunteer with local organizations, such as Meals on Wheels or food banks, animal rescues, the Habitat Restore and more.
You can also enjoy recreational outings that encourage learning, friendship, and fun. Our calendar is always evolving to reflect participants’ interests, seasonal opportunities, and events happening throughout the community.
