Wilmarie González, has over 17 yrs. in the public sector at the Departments of Aging and Human Services. She is an executive collaborating with state and federal agencies, regarding elder issues and services provided to adults 21+ receiving long-term services and support in the community and in long-term care settings.
Wilmarie was the first Latina to oversee the statewide State Long-Term Care Ombudsman and Protective Services programs, and led the development of the statewide MLTSS quality strategy impacting Medicaid and Medicare services—Community HealthChoices Program.
She is a graduate of Rosemont College with a master’s in Management, and Eastern University with a bachelor’s in organizational management. Wilmarie has a long history of advocating for diverse populations and is fluent in Spanish.
Wilmarie lives in Harrisburg with her husband Tom and enjoys reading, family time, and is a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
